Sport practice

Materials for sports integration of children with aniridia were first developed by the Norwegian Aniridia association in 2010 in the handbook Om å leve med aniridi [Living with aniridia].

In 2017 the Italian Aniridia association developed the brochure Sports and visual impairment: Theoretical Basics and Practical Indications for Physical Activity and Adapted Sports for the Blind and Visually Impaired, directed to families, teachers and coaches with the purpose to promote the integration of visually impaired children and adults in sports and physical education in school and leisure time.

The brochure is also available in English:

PDF version, to be printed front and back on A4 format and brought to coaches and teachers: Sports and visual impairment PDF

RTF – Rich Text Format, plain text without illustrations, for screen readers and translators: Sports and visual impairment RTF
